Firefighters Battle Residential Fire in San Diego

Fire crews battled a residential fire at a single- story home in San Diego Saturday.

Units were dispatched at 9:40 a.m. Saturday to 5254 Dante St. in the neighborhood of Clairemont Mesa East, near the intersection of Limerick Avenue and Clairemont Mesa Boulevard, according to the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department.

A total of 24 personnel were assigned to the fire, including four engines, one truck and one medic, officials said.

No evacuations or injuries were immediately reported.

The cause of the fire was unknown.
